prettygoodword: text: words are sexy (Default)
frustraneous (frus-TRAY-nee-uhs) - adj., leading to frustration, useless, unprofitable.

Like yesterday's word, this looks like another colorful 19th-century American coinage but isn't, in this case looking like a someone put a Latinate ending on frustrating -- instead, it's a 17th century importation from Latin. I like it. For what it's worth, the root frustra means in vain.
