bursiform

bursiform (BUT-suh-fawrm) - adj., shaped like a pouch or sack.

So, no, not shaped like a bursar, but rather what the bursar carries, or at least is in charge of -- the purse of the organization. Coined in teh 1830s from Medieval Latin roots bursa, bag, pouch, purse (the root of purse), from Greek býrsa, a skin, hide, presumably from the leather it was made of.
