astrobleme
astrobleme (AS-truh-bleem) - n., a crater on the earth's surface left by the impact of a meteorite, asteroid, or comet.
Coined in the early 1960s (dictionaries disagree on first mention) as a technical term in geology, from Greek roots astro-, star + blema, missile/wound (esp. from a missile). So, yeah -- "star wound."
