pectinator

pectinator (pek-ti-NAY-tuhr) - n., a small Somaliland rodent (Pectinator spekei) with comblike bristles on the hind feet.

Also called Speke's pectinator and Speke's gundi -- there being four other types of gundis, all desert animals in north Africa, but this is the only one called a pectinator, even though they all have the comblike bristles (thus the name, from Latin pectinātus, past participle of pectināre, to comb). I have to say, pectinator is more fun to say than gundi.

Pectinator!
