napiform

napiform (NAY-puh-form) - adj., shaped like a turnip: round on top and tapering below.

So shaped like a real turnip and not like those oddly spherical things found in chain grocery stores. Coined around 1840 from Latin roots nāpus, turnip + -iform, shape. And yes, apparently this is used not just in biology but medical terminology.
