canthi

canthi (KAN-thay) sing. canthus (KAN-thus) - n.pl., the corners of the eye where the upper and lower lids meet.

Normally, yes, the singular form is the main entry, but I usually see this in the plural form. Borrowed in the 1640s from Latin, from Greek kanthos, which had several other meanings including a pot, a chimney, and a type of wheel, and which is also the root of the verb cant meaning to tilt.
