blirt

blirt (blert) - n., an outburst of wind, rain, or tears; esp. (naut.) a gust of wind and rain.

So not the squall but a gust thereof. Apparently started as nautical slang, origin unknown, with the tears added by landsmen -- though even in that sense, not exactly common and not included in most recent dictionaries.
