sleekit

sleekit (SLEE-kit) - adj., smooth, slick, glossy; unctuous, specious, flattering; cunning, sly, crafty.

Best known from the first line of a famous Burns poem. Primarily Scots usage, as it's the Scots form of sleeked, the past participle of to sleek, a verb otherwise all-but-dropped from the language meaning to make sleek, a variant of slick dating to the 16th century. I find the metaphoric extensions of interest.
