apomixis (ap-uh-MIK-sis) - n., any of several kinds of asexual reproduction.
Including parthenogenesis and apogamy (both of which I encourage you to look up). Essentially, the technical term for asexual reproduction. Sometimes, when being technical, artificial forms of asexual reproduction such as human-induced propagation from cuttings are excluded from the term.
