vasiform

vasiform (VAY-zuh-form, VAS-uh-form) - adj., shaped like a duct or tube.

Also, rarely and apparently incorrectly, shaped like a vase (though one dictionary does "shaped like a duct or vessel" so maybe not that incorrect). Primarily used in anatomy, and coined around 1830 from Latin roots vās, vessel + -form.

Admin note: I've been meaning to mention for a while that I've de facto stopped posting here on Thursday, in lieu of posting over on [livejournal.com profile] 1word1day -- I don't really have time in the morning, now, to swot up two definitions. I will try in the future, however, to at least post a link to the other word, such as this for yesterday: orology.
