univoltine

univoltine (yoo-nee-VOHL-teen) - adj., having one brood or generation per year.

As opposed to more frequently: bivoltine, and so on. Semivoltine is a generation every other year. The word is used most often of insects, often to distinguish varieties. Adopted from French, from uni- + Italian volta, time/instance + adjectival ending.
