nocuous

nocuous (NOK-yoo-uhs) - adj., likely to cause injury, harmful, noxious.

The very rare stem form of innocuous, harmless. First used in 1627 by adapting Latin nocuus, harmful/injurious, from nocēre, to harm + a deverbalizing suffix (yes, Latin had those).
