ixia
ixia (IK-see-uh) - n., any of several southern African bulbous plants (genus Ixia) of the iris family having sword-shaped leaves and showy spikes of star-shaped flowers.
Some are also called corn lily. The name comes from the ancient Greek name for either the pine thistle or mistletoe, both of which are a completely unrelated plants -- go fig.
