kilim

kilim (kee-LEEM, KIL-im) - n., a flat tapestry-woven reversible carpet or rug.

Thanks, WikiMedia!

Specifically, of a type made in various part of the Middle East, eastern Europe, and Turkestan -- basically, the extent of the Persian Empire. Adopted in 1881 from Turkish, from Persian gelim, from Greek kálumma, cover/top/covering, from PIE roots. (Why not straight from PIE into Persian, I don't know.)
