tousle or touzle (TOU-zuhl) - v., to disorder, rumple, dishevel.

This is an interesting one -- this is a frequentive of touse formed in Middle English, and at the time it meant to pull roughly. However, comma, that word is now rare, and more to the point, its meaning has shifted to become a synonym of tousle.
