suckle (SUHK-uhl) - v., to draw milk from a breast or udder; to give milk from a breast or udder, nurse; to nurture as if by giving milk from a breast.

And the usual noun derivatives, plus the further derivative suckling, a young 'un of an age to still nurse. This is one of the more obvious ones: the frequentive, in a continuous sense, of suck -- though it was formed surprisingly late, in late Middle English, around 1400 give or take.
