crambo - n., a game in which one person must find a rhyme for a word or line of verse given by another; inferior verse, doggerel.


More about the rules at Wikipedia, which describes something more like I remember of it than the dictionary definition. From Middle English crambe, from Latin crambé (repetīta), (re-served) cabbage, used by Juvenal for unimaginative writing, from Greek krambé, a kind of cabbage.

From now on, I'm calling the game "cabbage."
