Today I pull from the little red bag:

rax - v., to stretch oneself, as after sleeping.

Mainly north England use, but the word dates back to Old English and is akin to the ancestor of rack, which in turn is akin to right. And that's this week of Words My True Love Gave Me -- back to the regular mix on Monday.

Is your true love from northern England or Scotland? She does give you the best words! I liked yesterday's a whole lot, too.

My true love is from Long Island. I suspect that compilers of Scrabble dictionaries read Scots lexicons.
