Oh, how I've wanted this word in the past. You have no idea. Not to be confused with nautiform, shaped like the hull of a boat. I'm assuming Latin roots, though I don't recognize the first part.

Latin, natis: buttock.

"Buttock" in Italian is "natica," always plural: le natiche.
