Yes, really. In use since the early 17th century, though not as much of late I think. From Late Latin hebdomadālis, from Latin hebdomad, from Greek hebdomás, a week, from hébdomos, seventh (ordinal form of hepta-, seven) + -ad, a substantive adjectival suffix used for numbers. More or less.
