contumacious - adj., stubbornly disobedient, willfully disobedient.

A word for a coworker with a toddler. Used since the 1590s, as adjectival form of contumacy, which had been around (as contumacie) since the last 12th century, from Latin contumācia, from contumāx, unyielding, stubborn, of uncertain etymology.
