peenge - v., to complain.
A Scots word, which I encountered as peenging -- as in quit your peenging. The last general Egnlish dictionary to include it seems to have been the 1913 Webster's, so it may be not only regional but outdated. I presume it's pronounced with a soft g but otherwise phonetically.
