In some people, I should hasten to add. Peaches, cotton balls, velvet, velour, and the like. Probably raw wool too, but I haven't seen that mentioned. Coined from Greek roots apto, to touch + dysphoria, discomfort (from dys-, bad + phero, to carry/bear).
