titlark (TIT-lark) - n., any of several small lark-like birds; esp. the Eurasian meadow pipit (Anthus pratensis).
If it's small, brown, sings -- you can call it this. Tit here essentially acts as a diminutive (as in titmouse -- another name for the meadow pipit is titling) and lark is from the bird.
