baudrons (BAW-druhnz) - n., (Scot.) a cat.
Generally an affectionate term. Formerly, also, the generic name for a cat in anthropomorphized animal stories: Baudrons the Cat meets Reynard the Fox and Bruin in the forest, and says --- and so on. Origin is uncertain, but it's attested to the early 15th century.
