brabble (BRAB-uhl) - v., squabble. n., a squabble.
Dictionaries shade the definition differently (such as "to argue stubbornly about trifles" or "to clamor"), but they all come down to more or less an exact synonym for squabble as both a verb and a noun. Not very common now, and possibly still survives only because of Shakespearean usages. Adopted in the 1490s from Dutch brabbelen, to quarrel/jabber, probably of imitative origin (see also German brabbelen, to talk confusedly).
