ceraunophile
Jun. 12th, 2015 08:05 amceraunophile or keraunophile (ker-awn-oh-FAIL) - n., one who loves lightning and thunder.
Supposedly, though it shows up in remarkably few word lists, let alone dictionaries -- and the corresponding phobia is more commonly called astraphobia (brontophobia is for thunder specifically). But keraunos is indeed thunderbolt in Greek, and there is also ceraunomancy, divination by lightning, as well as a few other derivatives. So not definitively a real word, but indications are suggestive.
And that wraps up a week of lovers. Back next week with the regular mix.
