tellurian (te-LOOR-ee-uhn) - adj., of, characteristic of, or inhabiting the earth, terrestrial. n., an inhabitant of earth.
Coined in the 1840s from either Latin Tellūs, a Roman goddess of the earth, or tellūs, the earth/ground/land she personifies. Unless you're writing some recherche science fiction, I'd stick with terrestrial myself.
Best wishes for tellurian peace this holiday season. Speaking of which, I'm going to be busy enough that I'm taking a break till the new year. Back on the 3rd!
