iroko (uh-ROH-koh) - n., either of two species of African hardwood trees (genus Milicia, formerly Chlorophora) with a valued reddish-brown wood.
Sometimes called African teak, as well as intule, kambala, moreira, mvule, odum and tule. The iroko name is from Yoruba.
