Theme week -- words about words. Though this first one is dubious:


lexidiem (lek-SI-dee-im, lek-si-DEE-im) - n., word of the day.


Or so I thought. This was coined by David Friedman in a 2006 blog post that got linked around, but aside from the initial notice, the word never got traction and hasn't made it into any dictionaries, not even Wiktionary (which is usually the first to notice new coinages and usages). I've occasionally used it myself (see this journal's profile) without realizing no one else was. Ah well. From Greek lexis, word + Latin diem, day.
