hangry (HANG-gree) adj., irritable or irrationally angry as a result of being hungry.
This got a lot of somewhat incredulous press when the OED finally added this as an entry in 2018, but their first citation is from 1918, in a letter by Arthur Ransom. It first shows up in print in 1956 as documenting existing slang created by contracting two words together -- in this case, hungry and angry. It didn't take off till the 2000s, though, which makes many people think it's a recent coinage, thus the incredulity.
