I think specifically chicken egg, but I'm not sure. I have exactly one source for this, a Guardian article, which nominally has a fact-checking department but has a daily corrections list that is often head-scratching, so I can understand if you take it with a grain of salt. But don't take away my cacklefarts -- that's too good a word.
