pluviophile (PLOO-vee-uh-fail) - n., someone who enjoys rain and rainy days.


Also, by extension, an organism that thrives in a rainy environment, but the original sense when it was coined in the 1990s (from Latin pluvius, rain + -phila, loving, itself from Ancient Greek phílos, dear/beloved) it was the person sense.

I wouldn't mind a good thunderstorm soon...
