Theme week! And yes, I usually put in a buffer week between themes, but today's word fits not only the current theme but last week's as well. Said current theme being a five-day week of five-letter words:
drawl (DRAWL) - v., to speak with lengthened or drawn-out vowels.
One dictionary adds "from affectation, laziness, or lack of interest," which isn't fair as some dialects do that, making them by definition not an affectation. Another frequentive form, being draw + -le, as in drawing out those vowels -- and draw in this sense is an alternate form of drag, as in dragging something out. Which was a fun thing to learn.
