dixie (DIK-see) - n., a large metal pot used for cooking in camp, esp. by the British army.
Though I met it in a novel being used by Girl Guides in camp. I don't think it's still used, but I could be wrong. Like a lot of British military terms, this is from Hindi, in this case dēgcī, metal cooking pot, from Classical Persian degča, diminutive of deg, pot.
