Not that I'd ever do that. I can't confirm this word, as Google Books doesn't have the source, and all search results for the word are derived from the calendar (including multiples from a poet who titled a poem this) -- but I can't resist it anyway.

How can you doubt the authenticity of a word included in a book by someone with as provoking a name as Jabez Good? Jabez Good. The Johnny B. Good of his day.

I'd trust the authenticity of Jabez Good more if he were from the 17th (or possibly 18th) century, and had a final -e on his last name.
