I guess you'd need an eight-letter word to empty the tray and still connect to a word already on the board, so no 50-point bonus. Eight letters are also needed to span two triple words, so no go there either.
Oh well, I shouldn't get so greedy! This is why I play against the computer. I don't feel guilty about smacking it with words like "maxixe."
