brocatelle or brocatel (brok-uh-TEL, broh-kuh-TEL) - n., a heavy brocade in which the design is woven in high relief.

Mainly used for upholstery and curtains. Borrowed in the late 1660s from French brocatelle, from Middle French brocatel, from Italian broccatello, diminutive of broccato, brocade, the past participle of broccare, from brocco, twisted thread, shoot, probably from a projected Vulgar Latin form *brocca, spike, horn, feminine noun form of Latin brocchus, projecting -- but that's as far as I'm taking this.
