endorheic (en-duh-REE-ik) - adj., of or pertaining to an enclosed basin.


That is, in which water cannot flow out to the sea but instead is trapped. Wikipedia has good examples. Not to be confused with last month's hyporheic, though it has the same second root -- the first being endo-, within.
