moschate (MOS-kayt) - adj., having a musky smell.

Not to be confused with moschine (of, related, or pertaining to the musk deer) or moschiferous (emitting musk). Which seems like a rather full set of adjectival forms for an obscure word. All from Latin -- this one borrowed in the 1820s from moschātus, from Medieval Latin moschus, musk.
