cete (SEET) - n., a group of badgers.

The collective noun for badgers. (Also, a cetacean, but that's not as interesting.) In use since at least the 15th century, origin unknown but speculations include either Medieval Latin cetus, assembly, from Latin coetus, a coming together, or a variant of Middle English cite, city, a usage suggested by similarity of Middle English forms for borough and burrow. That last sounds strained to me, but there it is.
