Which is a real problem, especially when it extends to the fear of being nauseated, or an overwhelming anxiety when nauseated that makes it worse. Emetophobics are often anxious around sick people, because they'll afraid they'll become sick as well, and almost always worry about food preparation and freshness. The root is Greek emetos, vomiting (the same as emetic, something that induces vomiting).
