seraphine (SER-uh-feen) - n., a type of reed organ with a keyboard.


Specifically, an early form of harmonium, invented in 1833 by one John Green. A foot pump blows (in this case) air over the metal reeds as allowed by which keys are pressed. This version from the 1840s has a keyboard -- others had a single line of buttons like an accordian:
