imburse (in-BURS) - v., to pay, to save.

Literally, (put) into a purse -- from Latin imbursāre, from im-, in- + bursa, purse (from Greek búrsa, leather, because purses were originally leather pouches). This is the rarely seen stem of reimburse, to pay back.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend, those of you who observe it. Back next week for a short one, because we do here.
