overmorrow (oh-ver-MAWR-oh, oh-ver‐MOR-oh) - n. and adv., (arch.) the day after tomorrow.


Goes back to Middle English, compounded of over in the sense of beyond and the morrow part of tomorrow. Equivalents are still in use in several other Germanic languages, including Dutch overmorgen, German übermorgen, Swedish övermorgon, Danish overmorgen, and Norwegian overmorgen.
