skerrick (SKER-ik) - (Aus., N.Z.) n., a very small quantity, usually in the phrase "not a skerrick."

Or even "not even a skerrick." This was originally north England dialect, first recorded in the early 1930s, but now used almost exclusively in Australia and New Zealand -- which means it came about rather later, given the origin, than I would expect for that dialect. Ultimate origin is unknown, though a Scandinavian origin is speculated.
