conventual (kuhn-VEN-choo-uhl) - adj., of, belonging to, or characteristic of a convent.

Also, a branch of the Franciscans, in full the Friars Minor Conventual. Not to be confused with conventional, but I totally understand misreading it that way -- I mean, I did when I came across it and got a bit confused till I reread the passage. A word in English since around 1400, from either Anglo-French conventuel or directly from Medieval Latin source conventuālis, from conventus, convent, the perfect passive participle of conveniō, convene/assemble (from con-, with/together +‎ veniō, come).
