sapid - adj., possessing taste or flavor; having an agreeable flavor, pleasant-tasting; agreeable to one's mind, engaging.


Or in a technical sense, affecting the organs of taste. From Latin sapidus, tasty, from sapere, to taste -- which word by extension came to mean to know, to be wise, from whence sapient and sage (the person -- sage the herb has a different root).
