Extrasolar planet. The current total known is somewhere between 225, 228, or 277, depending on whose count you trust. Wikipedia trusts the 277 count, FWIW.

Wow - that's a lot more than I thought. Maybe we are close to finding an Earthlike one.

There's a couple that are close to earth-size or close to the habitable zone (where water would be liquid) but I don't think we've found one that's both. OTOH, there's gas giants in the habitable zone and they could have moons ...

Oh hello -- last week, the presence of water vapor and methane was confirmed on wiki/HD 189733 b (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HD_189733_b). Missed this news.
