lento - adj. & adv. (music) in a slow tempo. n., a lento passage or movement.

bonus word: doge - n., the chief magistrate of the former republic of Venice.

Lento is from Italian lento, slow, from Latin lentus, flexible, pliant, sluggish, from the same PIE root that gave us (via Old English) lithe. Doge is from Venetian dialect of Italian, from Latin ducem, the accusative form of dux, leader -- usually a military leader -- from whence English derived duke.
